Appointments required for all services and to shop for jewelry in person

  • - We can only perform limited piercings on minors and more paperwork is required to get pierced. Read More >
  • - Only children/teens (anyone under 18) getting pierced are allowed in the studio. WE CANNOT ALLOW OTHER CHILDREN IN THE STUDIO OR CHILDREN AS GUESTS.
  • - Only 1 guest is permitted per piercee. Additional guests will be asked to wait outside. Guests are only permitted in the piercing room at the piercer’s discretion and must have a valid ID showing they are over 18. We do not permit guests in the piercer room that will be getting pierced the same day.
  • - You will be asked to use hand sanitizer when entering the studio, as well as any time you touch your face/piercings or any merchandise in the studio.
  • - Cell phones must be on silent (ringer off) when in the studio. You will be asked to take phone calls outside. Please use headphones to listen to music/videos/etc.
  • - To help avoid feeling dizzy/lightheaded after your piercing, you must have something to eat within 2 hours prior to getting pierced.
  • - You must not have any health conditions that would prevent a safe piercing, including but not limited to: pregnancy/nursing, hemophilia, cold/flu, infections, compromised immune system, etc. Some health conditions should be discussed with your doctor. Please email us to discuss any potential problem conditions.
  • - You must avoid blood thinners, including pain relievers (Advil/Motrin/ibuprofen, Aleve/naproxen, aspirin, etc) and/or alcohol for at least 12 hours prior to your piercing. You must also avoid topical anesthetics.
  • - Some medications make piercing unsafe. Please call us to discuss your medications.
  • - We accept cash, Venmo, Cash App, and major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card. Any refunded credit card charges will have processing fees deducted.
  • - We will perform a maximum of 2-3 piercings at one time, depending on location and difficulty of care.
  • - We do not perform cartilage piercings on both ears at the same time.
  • - Placement policies:
    • Your piercer will mark an appropriate placement, and give you a chance to agree or suggest minor changes. Some piercings are completely anatomy dependent and don’t get your input, like daith or septum. Your piercer has an obligation to refuse placements that won’t heal properly.
    • Once placement is agreed upon, the piercer will clean the area, then change into sterile gloves, and finally perform the piercing.
    • After cleaning the piercing, you’ll be asked to check it out before you leave. Make sure you’re happy with the results!
    • If the piercer misses the agreed upon mark (for piercings that get input), please let us know before you leave! We can correct it immediately. You must contact us within 48 hours of receiving your service if you believe the placement of your piercing is off. Management has discretion to allow for adjustment of placement. If you just changed your mind, you must pay another piercing service fee.
  • - Piercing service fees are non-refundable.
  • - All in-store jewelry installations must be performed by our piercers. For your safety, self-installation is not allowed in the studio.
  • - Food and/or beverages are not permitted in the studio.
  • - Please stay home if you are sick. If you have obvious signs of illness, such as a cough or runny nose, we can’t pierce you and you could endanger our staff. You will not be permitted to enter the studio.
  • - We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
Appointment Policies
  • - Appointments are *REQUIRED* for all services including piercings and installation of jewelry. Our door is locked. Please text us when you arrive so we can let you in at your appointment time.
  • - Appointments are *REQUIRED* to browse or purchase jewelry in the studio. Buying jewelry is not self service. At minimum, an employee/piercer has to be available to get your jewelry out of back-stock and sterilize it, which takes at least 8-10 minutes. Jewelry is not one-size-fits-all. Some piercings have over a dozen common sizes. That means you need to know exactly what size you need (both gauge and length), we need to have a purchase on file in the last 5 or so years, OR a piercer needs to be available to assist you with sizing. We also need to have time available at the jewelry counter for you to look at our displays. If another appointment is already scheduled, someone else will be occupying the counter.
  • - By booking an appointment, you consent to receiving text reminders for your appointment and text communications from our staff.
  • - Would you like to browse our jewelry selection? Our online store has almost all of our in store jewelry selection, and it’s available 24/7. Purchases can be picked up at our door or mailed to you.
  • - If you know exactly what jewelry you need, you can purchase it on our online store, or you can send us an email.
  • - JEWELRY IS PRICED SEPARATELY FROM PIERCING/SERVICE FEES UNLESS EXPRESSLY STATED ON APPOINTMENT DESCRIPTION
  • - Cancellations must be received by close of business the day before your appointment to avoid cancellation fees. If your appointment is cancelled after close of business the previous day or the same day as your appointment the following cancellation fees will apply:
    • 15 minute appointments: $30
    • 30 minute appointments: $60
    • 45 minute appointments: $90
    • 60 minute appointments: $120
  • - If you are more than 5 minutes late, do not have proper ID, or have a health condition that prevents a safe piercing, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be charged a cancellation fee. Please see above.
  • - If you no call/no show on your appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee, see above. You may be blocked from scheduling future appointments.
  • - Appointments outside of regular hours (either studio or piercer’s scheduled hours): A deposit equal to the piercing fee is required to secure the appointment, which will be applied to your charges for the piercing. Appointments are available at the discretion of the available piercer. A gratuity equal to 25% of the total will be added automatically. 24 hour cancellation notice is necessary to receive a refund of the deposit.
Jewelry Policies
  • - We perform new piercings with jewelry which meets ASTM standards.
  • - All jewelry is sterilized before it’s sold.
  • - We cannot install jewelry purchased elsewhere into either new or healed piercings. It’s almost impossible to provide proof that jewelry meets appropriate standards and has not been previously worn. We also cannot accept liability for potential damages to jewelry not purchased in our store.
  • - We cannot install damaged jewelry and/or jewelry that is inappropriate for your piercing.
  • - For your health and safety, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or trades on jewelry. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
  • - Previously worn jewelry (purchased at Piercing Experience) must go through additional cleaning steps to be safe to install in new or healed piercings. This process takes additional time, and requires an appointment to be scheduled to drop off the jewelry at least 2 days prior to installation. The jewelry will also be inspected for damage and must be an appropriate design and size. We will only install worn jewelry on the original purchaser.
  • - Titanium and gold jewelry with manufacturers defects will be returned to the manufacturer for repair/replacement. Each manufacturer has slightly a different process, but these guarantees protect against manufacturer defects and generally guarantee that threads or pins will not strip or break, and gemstones will not fall out or change color. This process can take several weeks or longer. Once we’ve received and inspected your repaired or replaced piece from the manufacturer, we will sterilize it and return it to you.
  • - These guarantees do not include intentional damage or misuse such as damage from tools like pliers, or loss or theft. It also doesn’t cover ends that come off due to snagging or un-tightened threads, so make sure to check your jewelry regularly.
  • - These guarantees do not include loss or theft. We recommend insuring your collection with your homeowners or renters policy.
Policies for Children & Teens
  • - For anyone under 18, we are required to have additional paperwork. We are must have the ALL of the following for each piercing:
    • Valid photo ID of person getting pierced, such as a passport or Georgia State ID card. (We are not able to use expired IDs, school IDs, or military IDs.)
    • Valid photo ID of parent.
    • A birth certificate to prove parental relationship. We also need legal documentation of any name changes, if names on documentation do not match IDs.
  • - Parent must witness the piercing in the procedure room.
  • - All IDs/proof of relationship must be original documents or *certified* copies. We are not allowed to accept photos or copies.
  • - Only children/teens with an appointment are allowed in the studio. Any siblings, friends, etc will not be permitted in the studio. Children and teens under 18 are not permitted as guests for adult appointments.
  • - For those under 18, we will only schedule one appointment/service per visit.
  • - For their safety, children must be well behaved during their time in the studio. We’re pretty much a jewelry store, with glass jewelry showcases and some fragile items. There’s hard corners and old wood floors. Running, jumping, or sitting on showcases is not safe. Please keep hands (and faces) off of our glass.  We do require children in the lobby to be supervised by an adult. Our staff cannot be responsible for the safety of your children. If a child is being loud or disruptive, we may ask to have them taken outside for the comfort of our other guests and staff.
Studio Etiquette
We understand this may be one of the first times you’ve been in a piercing studio, so you may be unfamiliar with the “rules”. Here are some guidelines:

  • - Gratuity/tips are accepted and appreciated. Standard tipping practice is much like other services, such as receiving a massage or getting your hair cut.
  • - Please keep keys, bags, and other items off the jewelry showcases. Items can scratch the glass and also obstruct the view of the jewelry.
  • - Please do not touch the jewelry. We understand that everything is pretty and shiny, but to keep it that way, we ask that you do not touch the jewelry directly. Otherwise, things get dirty and aren’t pretty or clean anymore.
  • - Please do not touch or handle your piercing(s) in the studio. This is both for your safety and for the safety of other guests and our staff. Touching a piercing both risks transferring germs to it, risking giving yourself an infection, and can transfer germs from your piercing to other surfaces in the studio. If we see you touch your piercing, we will offer you hand sanitizer.
  • - If you are bringing in worn jewelry, please seal it in a plastic bag or container before you arrive. Similar to touching your piercing, worn jewelry may have problematic germs on it. Having it sealed in a bag/container allows our staff to safely handle it until we can start any necessary cleaning/reprocessing.
  • - We want to provide a calm environment for those getting pierced and our piercers. Please silence your cell phones before entering our studio and take any phone calls outside. If you’re going to listen to music or anything else on your phone, please use headphones. Little noises quickly add up to a frenetic and loud environment. We also ask that you keep conversations low in volume so our staff can hear those they’re working with and don’t have to shout.
  • - The piercer will let you know where to put your personal belongings in the piercing room. We must keep our setup area clean and free from clutter.
  • - The health department prohibits any animals besides certified service dogs. This means we cannot allow emotional support or other animals in the studio.
