Piercer Zakk Boyer
Piercer Zakk Boyer is available Fridays through Tuesdays.
My journey into the piercing world started with humble beginnings in a small town of Indiana. As a punk/metal kid I was enamored by the people in the scene. I wanted to look and be just like the people I looked up to. As I got older, what started my journey down the rabbit hole was National Geographic Magazines and the tribes of old. When I started my apprenticeship I focused on the “how” and “why” piercings are done the way they are. Once I completed my apprenticeship I moved onto a few shops to continue my growth as a piercer. After a few years in Indiana, I wanted to broaden my horizons and took an opportunity to moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina and have never looked back.
Growing as a piercer led me to focus on better and quicker ways to preform piercings. Through my desire for growth I learned of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), and its annual educational conference. In 2018 I was lucky enough to be chosen as an Al D. Scholar which led to my involvement as a volunteer for the A.P.P. Conference. This has led to my involvement as a volunteer for the annual APP educational conference for the past two years, with plans to continuing volunteering.
Though I enjoy piercings of any kind as long as they’re safe and viable, my favorite piercings are conches and I love doing triple projects. I’m very excited to be working for Piercing Experience and meeting the clients that make it so great.
