Nostril Piercings
Nostril piercings have a rich tradition in human history through northern Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.
All sorts of beautiful jewelry options are available, from tiny diamond studs to larger, more ornate pieces. Initial jewelry will be some sort of post. Rings of various design are available for healed piercings. Rings are not offered for initial jewelry, as they tend to cause issues with swelling, bumps, scar tissue, and longer healing.
Nostril piercings are relatively easy to heal and generally take about 6 months. Folks with allergies or who otherwise blow their nose frequently may notice longer healing times and/or irritation. It’s important to keep makeup and other products off the piercing until it’s fully healed.
A less common placement for nostril piercing is what’s called a “high nostril” piercing. These are placed above the crease of the nose, below where the nose joins the bone. This placement is a bit more difficult to heal, but the payoffs can be rich! We expect more inflammation/swelling with these that may require multiple sizes of jewelry during healing. Expected healing time is about 6-9 months.
Nostril piercings can also be doubled on one side or paired on both nostrils.

Septum Piercings
Septum piercings also have a long history in human adornment. They were practiced in ancient times in cultures ranging from Mexico to Southeast Asia and many spots in between. They were also one of the piercings to become trendy when modern piercing came back into fashion.
We recommend healing this piercing with a staple-shaped retainer flipped up in your nose. This jewelry puts the least strain/stress on the tissue, allows you to hide your piercing, and has the least bulk up your nose. With the retainer flipped up, the piercing almost can’t get dirty, making care much easier for you. You really just need to blow your nose and leave it be. We expect healing to take about 2-4 months without issues like allergies.
Once the piercing is healed, all sorts of jewelry options are available. If you need to be discreet for work, circular barbells allow you to continue to flip your jewelry up while giving you a more visible and secure option. Hinged rings are another great option, as you can easily change the jewelry yourself. If your jewelry can be visible all the time, seam rings and captive bead rings provide options ranging from simple, plain rings to fancy, ornate pieces.
AVERAGE HEALING TIME: 3-6 MONTHS
Septum Piercing
Nasal septum (between nostrils) piercing service. Initial jewelry will be a retainer at 16g, 14g or 12g. Jewelry priced separately.
Eyebrow Piercings
While not as traditional as other piercings, eyebrows are another option for facial piercings. Proper anatomy and placement are crucial for proper healing, as this piercing is more prone to migration/rejection than other placements. Not everyone has enough of a brow ridge to support this piercing, so the piercer will do a quick consultation. Initial jewelry will be a curved barbell, with healing time expected to be around 3-6 months.
Bridge Piercings
Bridge piercings may be less common, but they are another viable adornment. Traditional placement is horizontally through the thinnest part of the bridge of the nose, a bit below the eyebrows. It can be a bit prone to migration or rejection, so it’s important to protect it from trauma during healing. Initial jewelry will be a straight barbell, and healing will generally be 3-6 months.
