Representation of Products
It's been said before, but it must be said again: images displayed on your computer may not be accurate. Due to differences in computer monitors, lighting, etc, items may appear differently in person than they do on screen. This is especially true for colors, as in gemstones and titanium colors. Pictures of jewelry are also not to scale, unless specifically represented as such.
Online pricing reflects manufacturers MSRP where applicable. Some prices may be lower in the store.
Availability of Items
We do our best to keep items in stock. However, as a brick and mortar shop there will be occasions when items sell out before your order can be processed. If your order is expected to have a longer than average handling time, we will send an email alerting you of the delay. We may break your order into two or more separate shipments at our discretion.
As a full service body piercing studio, we keep lots of jewelry on-hand for both new piercings and healed ones. For most of these items, we will be able to fill your order as soon as we process it. That being said, we are selling these pieces out of the physical store on a regular basis and may temporarily sell out of an item. When this happens, we'll let you know an item is backordered and and when we expect to have it ready to ship. Generally back orders on regularly stocked items take 1-3 weeks or sometimes even less.
Items that are "special order" are marked as such in the store, and options for specific products are marked with a "*". Many items have dozens of options for things like gem colors, and it's not reasonable for us to keep all the options in the store, but we want you to be able to order the specific options you'd like.
Once you have placed your order through our shopping cart we will order the item from the manufacturer with our next order, usually on a Sunday. This means that orders placed early in the week may not go to the manufacturer for almost one week. The manufacturer will include your special order with our next order and send it to us. We will then inspect your piece to make sure it matches what you ordered and is not defective.
Current turn around times per manufacturer:
If you cancel your order for a special order item after the manufacturer has begun production or return a special order item, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 50% of the cost of the item, depending on how likely we are to sell it to someone else.
Custom items are available. These are items that are not mass produced, and are instead made-to-order by ourselves or another manufacturer. Any prices listed are only an estimate and may fluctuate with things like the precious metals market. We will send you a final estimate for your confirmation before we actually make the piece. Orders for custom pieces are not refundable once production has begun, as we are very unlikely to sell these items to another customer. Sales are final.
We currently accept online payment via Paypal and Google Checkout.
Orders payed via PayPal have payment processed during checkout. We do not have control over this process, as PayPal requires that you authorize payment. PayPal controls all payment authorizations using this method, so please contact PayPal with any difficulties during the actual payment process. Your order will be process after receipt of you payment by PayPal has been confirmed.
For orders totalling $99 or more, PayPal now offers the "Bill Me Later" financing option. Please see their site for more information. This would be a great option for special order items.
Google Checkout preauthorizes your credit card when you checkout. We will finalize charges when we process your order. Your funds are only guaranteed to be available to us within one week of placing your order, so we will authorize before that week is up.
Credit Cards: We currently are not set up to accept credit cards directly through the website. We can accept credit cards by phone, if you can provide the correct billing address and CVV number. Please call 404-378-9100.
Offline Payment: We can accept checks for mail orders. Orders will be processed once payment has cleared, which can take up to a week or more once the check has arrived at the shop.
Orders are currently processed on Mondays and Thursdays. Orders are processed as soon as possible after payment has cleared, but may not be processed on the immediate processing day following placement of your order. We do all we can to keep processing to one week or less. If extended handling time is anticipated, we will email you to let you know. Expedited order processing is not currently available.
The selected shipping method will determine how fast an items gets to you once it is processed. Currently, domestic shipments may be shipped through USPS. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with relevant tracking information.
If you provide incorrect shipping address/information, we will reship your order after it has been returned to us and another shipping charge has been cleared. We have no way to verify your shipping address, so please take the time to make sure what you have provided is correct.
All orders have a handling fee of $2. Orders are shipped through USPS - first class parcels, Priority Mail, or Express Mail. First class is a flat rate of $3.00. Priority is a flat rate of $5.00. Express Mail is a flat rate of $18. These rates may change with rate changes from USPS. You will receive an email with any relevant tracking information when your order ships.
International order are shipped via USPS Global Priority for $25. We have had too many problems with airmail getting lost or stuck in customs.
You may also want to consider purchasing insurance on your package. Insurance is available for an additional $3.
Please ensure that you provide us with your correct shipping address. We cannot be responsible for any incorrect or incomplete information provided at check-out. If items are returned to us or lost in the mail due to incorrect or incomplete addresses, we will not re-ship to you without your request and a new shipping charge. If items are completely lost and you selected first class mail, we have no way to track down the shipment - we must simply wait for it to return to the shop. If items are mis-shipped due to any error on our part (i.e. Piercing Experience did not apply the information you provided correctly), we will re-ship you order ASAP at no charge to you.
Please also ensure that you provide a current email address and/or phone number. Without this information we have no way to contact you for clarification, delays in shipping, etc.
If you made a mistake in your order or placed the order in error, contact us ASAP. You may want to call us at 404-378-9100, instead of email, to ensure we get your message before we process your order. Orders for regularly stocked merchandise canceled before they are processed are eligible for a full refund. Anything cancelled after it has been shipped is eligible for a partial refund (minus shipping) once the items are returned to us in their sealed individually sterilized packages. Special order or custom options may not be eligible for a full refund, please see above.
Because these items can come in contact with body fluids, returns are not accepted (this is the same reasoning behind underwear being non-returnable). This ensures jewelry shipped to you is brand new, making sure it's safe for you to wear. If you have any questions about an item, please contact us before ordering.
If there is an error in your order, or an item arrives damaged, contact us ASAP for return authorization before opening the individually sterilized packages. Arrangements will be made to ship a replacement piece.
Items returned without authorization, out of their individually sterilized packages, or in opened packages will not be considered for a refund.
We must stress that this is for your own safety. Sterilizers are not magic, and cannot clean an item enough to be worn by another individual.
***Returns must be authorized within 14 days of receiving your order, and we must receive the returned merchandise within 14 days following authorization. Both PayPal and Google Checkout limit the time we have to credit a refund to your account. Please policies on special order and custom pieces above.****
8% sales tax will be added to order shipped to Georgia addresses.
If any information provided in the Online Store is incorrect, we will do our best to correct it. Sometimes products are discontinued without warning or are on indefinite backorder. If this occurs, we will contact you ASAP and offer a substitute product or a partial refund for those items currently unavailable. Any prices listed at time order is completed for standard items will be honored. Prices are subject to change without notice.
